Double Bottom Line

We are fortunate to have Mr. Donato Tramuto on our Board; he’s a successful leader in the healthcare and business sector and a well-recognized philanthropist. Mr. Tramuto has chronicled his perspectives in his latest book, The Double Bottom Line: How Compassionate Leaders Captivate Hearts and Deliver Results. He reflects on the balance between transformative leadership (doing the right thing) and transactional leadership (doing things right). He is passionate about encouraging leadership teams to focus on their people as much as on their bottom line – delivering better results while improving conditions for people.

One of the things that I stress very, very extensively in my recent book, is the opportunity to have not just communication but effective communication. I think what Skyscape has done well is that they have really expanded what I have been pleading for, and that is to listen to understand, don’t listen to react, they have really listened to the end user. The end user, i.e., the care providers, wants to be able to communicate to all members of the allied health professionals.

My second book, which is “The Double Bottom Line: How Compassionate Leaders Captivate Hearts and Deliver Results” really does provide the framework for what I truly believe Skyscape represents and for what Buzz has been able to accomplish. It is a responsibility to our employees now, not only to generate revenue and accompany, but also to generate, if you will, compassionate understanding of what our employees need to be successful. And I think when you look at what Buzz is doing, it’s providing tools to drive greater efficiency in a industry that has already stressed out, they’re stressed out from the increase in what happened in the pandemic, that there are now more individuals that are fighting now, you know, multiple viruses with co-morbid conditions, our population is aging, but we’re also seeing a great decline in how many physicians and nurses we have in the United States.  The magic of Buzz is not just the technology they have provided, but how effectively it has resonated with the healthcare professionals to work with one another in a way that drives efficiency and adds speed to the way we accomplish our tasks in a given care management setting.
